InVer_OS runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Getting Vye onto your desktop takes a few minutes: download, unpack, start, and let her introduce herself. Everything she changes can be undone from the editor, and nothing risky happens until you switch it on.

Install on Windows

  1. Download InVer_OS

    Open the downloads page and press Download InVer OS. No account is needed, and there is one download for everyone: a single .rar file (the page shows its size). Your Patreon tier unlocks features inside the program, not a different file.

  2. Check the file (optional)

    The downloads page shows the file's SHA-256 checksum; double-click it to copy it. In PowerShell, run Get-FileHash on the downloaded file and compare the two. If they match, you have exactly the file that was published.

  3. Unpack the .rar

    Recent versions of Windows 11 open .rar files in File Explorer; otherwise use 7-Zip or WinRAR. Unpack it into a folder of its own, where it can stay.

  4. Start InVer_OS

    Run the InVer_OS .exe in that folder and wait for the logo. If Windows SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway. InVer_OS is a new program that acts like a virus on purpose, so Windows may not recognise it yet. If your antivirus quarantines it, or Vye's image swap does nothing, allow InVer_OS in Windows Security.

  5. Let Vye introduce herself

    Vye's chat starts in onboarding mode and explains how things work. Type /tutorial off to skip it, or /help on whenever something is not working, and she will try to guide you through it.

  6. Use the tray menu

    InVer_OS lives in the system tray. From there you open Vye's chat, start modes, launch the editor or clean up her changes.

  7. Decide how far she gets to go

    The editor controls modes, popups, afflictions, personal preferences and the Risky menu. Simple Mode keeps it short, and there is an SFW mode. Risky features stay off until you enable them, and each one warns you first. What she may do on Discord, on X and in your browser, and how she treats you, you set in your profile on this site after logging in with Patreon.

Undo or uninstall

The editor's Cleanup tab resets system sounds, clears the startup message, removes the browser extension or cleans up everything at once. To remove InVer_OS completely, run Clean Up Everything, quit it from the tray and delete the folder you unpacked it into.

Updates

InVer_OS tells you when a new version is out. Download it from the downloads page again; the updates page has the patch notes for every version. After upgrading your Patreon tier, restart InVer_OS to get the new features.

Android: the InVer_OS browser

On Android 10 and up, the InVer_OS browser puts Vye in every page you open. Download it from the downloads page, open the file and allow installs from your browser when asked. If Play Protect warns you, tap More details, then Install anyway: the app is new and not on Google Play, which is why it warns. It is built from Chromium and asks only for a browser's permissions. It updates itself.

The browser extension

The extension comes with InVer_OS: the Corrupted affliction installs it. To use it without the desktop program, get it from the downloads page.

  • Chrome, Edge, Brave: unzip it, open the extensions page, switch on Developer mode, then choose Load unpacked and pick the InVer_OS_Extension folder.
  • Firefox: open the downloaded file and confirm.
  • Or let it install itself (Windows): unzip the installer somewhere it can stay, run InVer_OS Extension Setup.exe, pick your browser and press Install. Keep the folder, because Chrome, Edge and Brave load the extension from it.
